Dear NIBS colleagues,
I am so happy to announce that registration is open for the Knowledge Exchange Conference NIBS 2026 that will be happening in Tønsberg on May 20-21. Please see this link for information about this spring's conference: KECIBN 2026.
Please use this link (KECIBN 2026 sign-ups) to register for the event.
Remember that the school's financial responsibilities for the NIBS DeKomp project include the conference app fee (NOK 500), travel costs and cover teachers. Conference fees, one night of hotel fees and the conference dinner are all covered by Udir's funding, via USN (University of Southeaster Norway).
The registration deadline is March 15. This is a first come, first served type of registration as there are a limited number of rooms blocked off at the hotel for the conference. We can have a few more participants than there are rooms, so if your staff members are commuting, feel free to register them for day-time participation!
New this year, day one of the conference is dedicated to practical excursions related to this year's topics: outdoor education and experiential learning and inclusion and experiential learning. These excursions are meant to connect to the learning in the online workshops leading up to the conference. Registrations are first come, first serve. Be aware that the excursions to Bollærne and to Løvøya have a limited number of available spaces due to the transportation needed. There are 18 participant slots. We ask in the first round of sign-ups that you limit your school registration for these two excursions to one participant per school per excursion. If they do not fill up, we will send out an updated invitation.
We are also asking for abstract submissions for participant presentations during break-out sessions. We need to continue sharing the excellent practice that is occurring around the country in all of our fabulous schools. Please use this breakout session proposal link to let us know about your presentation. The deadline for proposal submissions is April 30, 2026.
If you are wondering about this network, you can find more information about the NIBS DeKomp projects at this link: usn.no/nibs.
I look forward to seeing many fantastic NIBS practitioners in May in Tønsberg!
Also, don't forget the next online workshop is Monday, March 2, 14:15 - 15:45. The title for this session is "Inclusion and Experience" with Kenneth Larsen presenting.
Kind regards/Med vennlig hilsen
